New Zealand Photospheres

Some photospheres I took whilst on holiday in New Zealand (Dec 2015 to Jan 2016). Click on an image to open the sphere in a viewer. (They are reasonably large images, so give them a minute to load.)

Drag the image to look around. Controls underneath allow auto-panning and full-screen. On mobile browsers there is also an option for moving the device to look around. I can't guarantee it will work on all browsers - tested on Chrome on the desktop.

A warm-up sphere, taken next to the active volcanic crater on White Island, showing what happens if you get lots of punters standing in the way whilst you take it.

A slightly better one on White Island, you can see several groups of people wandering around and sulphur steam coming from the ground. Unfortunately I missed a small section out.

The view roughly northwards from Mount Manganui.

Looking out into over the Marlborough Sound from a lunch spot on the Queen Charlotte Track.

Climbing north from Moke Lake on probably the best ride we did in New Zealand, starting from Queenstown.

Further around the Moke Lake circuit and starting to get into the really good singletrack.

On the top of Helicopter Hill, a slight detour from the Craigieburn Forest loop, looking out over Arthurs Pass in the centre of South Island.

The sea in both directions from the top of Banks Peninsula near Christchurch.

Lots of Rosie in the volcanic plain of the Tongariro crossing.

A dried up lakebed and a stream of people on the Tongariro crossing.

Half a sphere showing the large crowds descending past the small hot lakes on the Tongariro.

After descending the loose ridge on the Tongariro. Below where the previous one was taken from.

The start of the final descent on the Tongariro, looking out towards over lake Topiara and towards lake Taupo.

Rotovegas at the top of the Rotorua Skyline gondola, looking over the luge track. Complete with badly joined up railings as I was standing too close to them.
